Meet John Kariuki, the founder and inspiration behind High End Safari Trips Africa. Born and raised in the majestic foothills of Mt. Kenya, John’s journey began with humble roots and bold dreams.

After finishing school, John struggled to find employment. His break came as a porter on Mt. Kenya—hauling gear, guiding trekkers, and slowly mastering the trails. Over time, his passion for adventure led him to train as an Expedition Leader and Safari Guide.

That early experience lit a fire that still burns today. For John, Mt. Kenya wasn’t just a mountain—it was a classroom, a proving ground, and a launchpad. From those high-altitude beginnings, High End Safari Trips Africa was born.
